How is this different from support-focused chatbot software?

Do I have to build conversation flows or intents?

No. Traditional chatbot software asks you to enumerate what people might say, group those utterances into intents, and draw a flow for each one — which is why so many deployments stall halfway through and end up handling only the three questions someone had time to build. vrso works from your content instead: it reads your pages and documents and answers from that material directly, so a question nobody anticipated still gets a sensible answer if the information exists. What you configure is narrow by design: the tone of voice, the widget's appearance, an optional call to action, and what happens on escalation. If the assistant answers something badly, the fix is usually to improve or upload content, not to edit a flowchart.

The reason the model choice matters less than people expect is that vrso constrains the model to answer from your retrieved content rather than from its own general knowledge, which is what keeps answers accurate and consistent. We upgrade the underlying models over time; that happens without any change to your setup.

Can I control what it says and how it sounds?

Yes, at the levels that matter. You set the tone of voice, and for English-speaking markets you can set a regional voice so spelling and phrasing read as local rather than American. You control the knowledge it answers from, which is the strongest control there is: add a document and it uses it, remove a page and it stops referencing it. You can set an optional call to action — a label and a link — that the assistant offers at appropriate moments rather than at every turn. And you can read every conversation in your dashboard, which is how most customers find the phrasing they want to change. What you do not get is a script for each answer, because the point of the model is handling questions you did not predict.
